About our organization
The Momentum Fund is a dedicated grant funding organization committed to identifying, supporting, and amplifying the impact of African change-makers. We prioritize projects that are innovative, scalable, and designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities within Africa. Founded on the principles of collaboration, empowerment, and sustainability, we work with individuals, organizations, and communities to unlock the potential of grassroots initiatives.
The organization also support the Financial Institutions (FIs)’ SME clients to ensure better funding application preparations (for example, development of business plans, financial literacy training, etc.). The programme is also accessible to international banks,NGOs and to regulated specialized financing houses such as leasing companies and other Non-Bank Financing Institutions, including Micro-Financing Institutions with a SME portfolio. The ultimate beneficiaries of this Programme are local SMEs, seeking adequately priced offerings to finance their business investments and overall business activities. The Ministry,AFDB,USAID and MIF does not finance SMEs directly. They supports local financial institutions in such a way that they will increasingly see SMEs as a real and successful market opportunity.

Creating Pathways to Prosperity through Collaborations and Partnerships
Partner with Us
We believe in the power of partnerships to amplify impact. Whether you’re a private sector entity, a financial institution, or a government agency, we want to work with you to create meaningful change in Africa.

Our Partnership Approach
We believe that given the right amount of resources and services, populations least served by existing markets or assistance programs will have a chance to transition out of poverty. To achieve this goal, Momentum Fund partners and collaborates with host African governments (at the national and local levels) corporations and foundations, and other U.S. Government agencies.
